| America's 10 Best Public Housing Authorities HCHA has been recognized by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development as the highest performing housing authority in the region for the last six years and was recently named one of America’s 10 best Public Housing Authorities. Encouraging Clients to Achieve Self-Sufficiency Our Housing Choice Voucher Team (HCV) currently manages approximately 3,881 vouchers, providing safe, decent and affordable housing to families needing assistance. Creating Homeowners First Veteran themed affordable housing tax credit development for Seniors in the USA. Our Independence Program is designed to transition people from renting through the Housing Choice Voucher program to owning a home of their own. Building GREEN Senior Housing HCHA develops affordable housing for seniors 55 years and older living independent and active lifestyles in communities designed to meet their special needs and interests Innovation Leading to Excellence The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) recently recognized HCHA with an Award of Excellence entitled HCHA Offers Homeless Veterans a Place to Call Home for the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program. |
