2007 - Excellence Achieved
As you read this, you’re probably expecting me to talk about all of our wonderful 2007 accomplishments. Well, I would actually like to take this time to express my personal gratitude and utmost appreciation of the many talented people who keep the Harris County Housing Authority going every day. I am truly blessed to work with the best individuals in this important industry – during a historic time in our country.
For the HCHA, 2007 was the year of my colleagues. We have some of the finest men and women in our business, but sometimes you don’t realize the magnitude of your team’s capabilities until they are truly challenged. This reminds me of the old saying, “to whom much is given, much will be required.”Why? Because with every challenge and every opportunity, the HCHA staff not only succeeds, but excels far beyond expectations.
The citizens of Harris County, as well as business leaders, elected officials and the Board of Commissioners should know that I work with some of the most professional and respectable people in America. To the greatest extent, I am so proud and very fortunate to work alongside these distinguished individuals who dedicate themselves every day to the HCHA’s mission.
We have completed perhaps the most successful year in the history of the HCHA. From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank each and every employee for his or her commitment to making someone else’s life just a little bit better.
Sincerely,
Guy R. Rankin, CEO and Executive Director
Harris County Housing Authority
