"The HCHA has mastered the task of managing Harris County’s housing needs with competence, professionalism, compassion and dignity. It is this performance that makes all the difference to our clients, and it is the HCHA’s collective dedication that guides our clients down the road to self-sufficiency. In 2007, the HCHA brought many benefits to the members of this community, and I know Guy Rankin and all of the HCHA’s staff will continue to reach great heights – simply because they care."

"Harris County has a great need for comprehensive community building – people uniting together for a common purpose...much like those who... have been behind all great civilizations and movements. The HCHA proudly focuses on being part of the fabric of this community, making it home for so many. The programs and services the HCHA offers allow many of our area’s working, low-income families to become valuable members of this community. I look forward to the future plans that this organization has for Harris County, as it has always had the best interests of our neediest citizens at heart."

"As our community grows, it is very important that we realize our future is directly related to how we care for our senior citizens. Without making decent, safe housing available to seniors, we cannot truly find answers to any of the other housing problems that arise. In the twilight years of your life, the housing made available to you should be considered the best. The HCHA has made it a priority to ensure that every senior development project it takes on is of the highest quality and consideration. I have every confidence that the strides this organization has taken to develop top-notch senior housing will have a positive impact on all future developments it undertakes."

"Innovation is one of the HCHA’s biggest assets, and we have learned some valuable lessons about the unique and various needs of our clients while providing emergency and long-term service for Katrina and Rita evacuees. This experience can now inform our efforts to respond to the needs of other Harris County residents, using our knowledge and foresight to ease the burden of our clients through affordable housing catered to their needs. In 2008, the HCHA hopes to have the privilege of developing a housing community to serve the noble men and women returning from service overseas – an honor fitting for a top service organization like the Harris County Housing Authority."
