| Our
Philosophy |
At the HCHA,
we believe that affordable housing is about more
than just vouchers and rental properties.
It's also about helping people end the cycle of
poverty and begin the cycle of self-improvement.
But such a goal isn't easy to achieve. It requires
a businesslike approach and achievement-oriented
thinking. And that's exactly what the HCHA brings
to its operations.
No other local agency has done more to create programs
that maximize public dollars in the interest of
our neediest citizens. Whether it's a new public-private
housing development for seniors, a residency facility
for the homeless, or an innovative homeownership
program, the HCHA has proven that we can combine
human services, economic development and housing
into inventive and effective offerings.
